"An absolutely wonderful place for a tranquil break with fabulous hosts ever willing to please. Idyllic location with so much to do and see. Highly recommended." Jon Petelczyc reviewed Misty Valley Country Cottages – 5 star Trip Advisor Review
Make some great memories with your family and friends, now that you finally have some time to relax and do what you love. Why not enjoy a simple picnic in the sun, after a visit to pick up some fresh local food and wine, or order one of our cheese platters, and soak up the timeless moments that come with great company.
If you are feeling more adventurous, head off to find one of the local walking trails, or drive 30 minutes to the Valley of the Giants treetop walk in Walpole Nornalup National Park. Breathe in the majesty and the clarity of air in the old growth forests 40 metres above ground level. Or enjoy a more gentle stroll with The Ancient Empire Walk. After your day of fresh air and sunshine, maybe test our Top 5 list for local restaraunts, or stay in and we can make you up a gourmet platter or picnic basket with local wines.
The local beaches are perfect for fishing, swimming, surfing and stunning views. Our top beach choices are Greens Pool, Elephant Cove, Waterfall Beach, and Parry Beach, all conveniently located in the William Bay National Park. They offer great swimming, fishing and boating conditions, and glorious scenery and sunsets.
There is plenty to see and do onsite too, with lots of fun daily farmstay activities for kids - guided pony rides, collecting eggs, riding quad bikes, playing with the goats and rabbits, and milking our gentle cows.
"We spent 5 nights with our 4 year old, 2 year old and 6 month old baby, and had a fantastic time. The kids loved getting up in the morning, putting on their gum boots and going out to collect the eggs, feed the chickens, rabbits, horses and goats. Special highlights were the pony rides and a quad bike ride with Daddy. The accommodation is very comfortable, with ample heating to stay cosy in the cooler months. Warren and Leonie were very welcoming - they even gave us some freshly baked muffins on arrival. They are extremely attentive hosts. We'll definitely be making this a regular holiday destination." "From the moment we arrived at Misty Valley Country Cottages Warren and Leonie provided us with the perfect haven to relax, explore and recharge. We were impressed with our lovely chalet with it's beautiful outlook and cleanliness. Our kids were immediately taken with the farm and its hosts including beautiful Molly the Golden Retriever, and looked forward to animal time and Leonie's delicious milkshakes. We fed chicken's, rabbits, ponies and goats. We gave Harvey the calf his bottle, and had pony rides and pony grooming time. Every detail is thought of, right down to the coconut to feed the abundant native birds. We actually decided to have more chill out time on the farm and didn't even make it to Albany. We were sad to leave and can't wait to go back. Thanks, The Evans Family."

"Wonderful holiday experience for our whole family including our dog Bella! Big thank you to Warren and Leonie for sharing your piece of paradise. We were welcomed with warm muffins and a heated cottage. The cottage is spacious, clean and well appointed. Beautiful views of the valley and bushland. Warren was fantastic with the girls introducing all the animals and providing hands on experiences. Highly recommend this spot to relax and unwind. Yet close enough to Denmark and all the local attractions. Hope to be back soon."

"Looking to spend our holiday in the Denmark region of WA, we picked Misty Valley Cottages, hoping that a farm stay would entertain our toddling son. And indeed it did - feeding bunnies, chooks and goats in the morning, riding a pony or just exploring the beautiful countryside around the cottage and the farm were highlights of the day for him. The location of Misty Valley Cottages was great - a scenic 10 minute drive from Denmark on Scotsdale Road, along which you'll find many wineries, as well as an animal farm (another afternoon well spent with children). Warren and Leonie were wonderfully warm and kind hosts, starting with the warm muffins greeting us upon arrival (very welcome after the long drive from Perth), and throughout the entire stay, as they provided us with many ideas of what do in and around Denmark. Our cottage (Autumn Mist Cottage) lived up to its name with gorgeous, misty views from the terrace in the morning. The cottage was very spacious, with a very large kitchen and living room (that could double as a play space) that still felt cosy. Despite the slightly chillier April nights, we managed to keep the place warm enough for all of us with the installed reverse cycle air conditioning (we chose not to use the wood fire because of our young son). All in all, a wonderful stay and one that we hope to repeat!" Simonelchlepp, Trip Advisor Review
"My family and I spent a few days at Misty Valley Country Cottages over the school break. It's very well situated approximately 13km from Denmark along Scotsdale Road, and near many of the prominent wine estates in the area. Our chalet was clean and well-equipped and had a lovely view over the valley. It also had a sense of isolation which made for a quiet and restful break. Warren was very welcoming and involved our children in farm activities such as feeding the animals. They also had a ride on one of the ponies! Overall, this is a great location especially if you have a young family."
