Denmark is set in between the forest and the sea, with the picturesque Denmark river flowing through the centre of town. There are plenty of great spots to explore within an easy drive of Misty Valley Country Cottages. 

We have come up with some great suggestions for your holiday, so that you can make the most of your stay.

Why not pick up some fish and chips from either the Caltex Service Station or Mad Fish Fish and Chips, and then take a leisurely 5 minute drive to the Denmark River front for a picnic on their lush lawns, and take in the scenic river views. There is plenty of room for children to play and let off steam. 

Take a scenic tall timber drive along the Scotsdale Tourist Drive, and sample some lovely local wines from the many wineries and vineyards.  We reccommend Howard Park wines, Rockcliffe Wines, Rising Star Wines, Estate 807, Harewood Estate,  and Rickety Gate Wines.  

Finish up at Denmark Farmhouse Cheeses, where you can sample the Ducketts Mill wines and enjoy locally hand made cheeses, or a wonderful cheese platter filled with fresh local produce.

Follow the Tourist Drive to the Denmark Animal farm to see and hand feed all the animals. Following the tourist drive to the south coast highway, where you can turn right and drive to Greens Pool at William Bay, Elephant Rocks, Waterfall beach, which is a photographers paradise  Great safe beaches for children for swimming snorkelling and exploring.

Continue down the South Coast Highway towards Walpole, where you can visit Bartholemew's meadery, where you can sample the ancient home made honey mead, many varieties of honey, and honey ice cream. 

Try some gourmet delights at our next stop - The Denmark Toffee factory, and Elephant Rocks Cidery. Sample the local ciders, and a range of delicious condiments, sauces, toffees.
